The Research
Our plan is based on an interesting concept described in the research of Dr. Albert T. W. Simeons in 1954. He was a world famous endocrinologist who first proposed the concept of a calorie-restricted diet along with doses of a hormone found in women during pregnancy called human chorionic gonadotrophin.
Dr. Simeons observed that only during pregnancy does the body release a specific hormone (hCG) which allows access to areas of fat reserve that are normally inaccessible, even during fasting or exercise. These fat reserves are known as “non-essential fat” and are often built up during periods of stress or trauma, which can lead to an alteration in the way your body accesses and uses fat reserves every day.
Over time, this alteration can create dramatic increases in weight, body shape and size that can be resistant to the normal effects of a healthy diet and exercise. The more increase in these non-essential fat reserves, the more fatigued and metabolically imbalanced we become. This makes it so difficult to actually see results of weight loss because you’re unaware that there is a process working against you.

Why does this plan work when so many others have failed?

This area is called the diencephalon and because it includes the hypothalamus it is the trigger in our brain for our stress response. Dr. Simeons discovered that during periods of stress the diencephalon makes it impossible to lose weight and actually forces the conservation of fat reserves. This includes a type of fat known as “non-essential fat” which is only utilized during pregnancy or periods of extreme deprivation.
Dr. Simeons believed that by using a natural version of the pregnancy hormone hCG, the brain could be encouraged to turn to these non-essential fat stores for energy and metabolism. He felt that if you allowed the diencephalon to reset itself, it would change your brain’s relationship to fat accumulation and the way in which the stress response affects you.
It is this reprogramming that becomes permanent. So the people that are obesely overweight, those that can’t seem to lose weight despite everything they’ve tried, those that have a very depressed metabolism and experience nearly constant hunger and cravings, can begin to handle things differently.
This is an incredible approach that works for both men and women with no side effects and no bounce-back effect typical with restrictive weight loss programs.

Step One: The Preparation Phase
One week: Crave Control
It’s a good idea to buy your Weight Loss Kit prior to your first day because the first 7 days are when you gradually reduce all sugars and starches down to nothing. Scary, right? Not if you have Crave Control from your kit. It will help you to be able to give up fruit, fruit juice, table sugars, sugar substitutes, pasta, bread, potatoes, rice, desserts, Starbucks’ lattes and any processed products that contain sugar or starch (which is almost all of them especially gluten free products).

For these two days you will be loading up on foods that contain high levels of fat-loading. Step Two: The Restriction Phase
4-6 weeks: The Core of the Plan
This is the weight loss period when you will be following a 500 calorie daily restricted eating plan which includes 2 servings of fruits, 2 servings of vegetables, 2 servings of protein and unlimited salad. 64 ounces of water is the minimum requirement and aiming for 50% of your body weight in ounces per day is a great goal. How long you do this step depends on how you feel, how much weight you have to lose and how motivated you are to continue. The longest you can do this step is 6 weeks. But during this step you will be losing weight almost every day you step on the scale.
Step Three: The Recovery Phase
3 weeks: Adjustment
After you complete Step Two, the next 3 weeks are critical because this is when your body will adjust to the new weight and you will learn how to maintain it. During this recovery period you will be increasing your calories to the point that maintains your weight while reintroducing healthy fats and other foods. But you will still avoid sugars and starches. It is during this time that we can also see what digestive issues your body may have with specific foods which allows us to provide remedies that gradually improve your overall digestive strength.
